PT Amur Aviation Indonesia Confirms Accident

PT Amur Aviation Indonesia confirmed that one of its Bell 206L4 helicopters, bearing tail number PK UAF, was involved in an accident in the Dogobaida district of Pania, Papua on Saturday, June 4.
The company has confirmed that there were four people on board – three passengers and the pilot, Captain Karmana. The passengers have all been evacuated to a hospital in Nabire and are in stable condition. Sadly, Captain Karmana died in the accident. Captain Karmana was a deeply experienced and qualified pilot who began his career in aviation in 1985.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic accident. Our highest priority is to take care of our crew and clients and their families and provide them with any assistance needed at this time. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Captain Karmana and all the passengers on board,” – said Tony Hadi, the President Director of PT Amur Aviation Indonesia.
The company has mobilized all emergency response resources and is working closely with the authorities on the investigation. PT Amur Aviation Indonesia continues to collect information on the accident and will release more details as soon as appropriate.
